You might be wondering where the name "Lela Amor" originates. Our brand name derives from the name of our founder's grandmother, Lela Mae Ivey Lyons. Our loving Queen was a fabulous fashionista--from the show-stopping hats she created to the gorgeous dresses that she sewed.

Lela Lyons was born in Metcalf, Georgia. Although she was quite well-traveled, she spent the majority of her life in West Palm Beach, Florida. In her lifetime, Lela overcame challenges and adversity--all with style and grace. One of her special superpowers was seeing the best in everyone that she encountered.

Lela was a multi-talented lover of all things glamorous. She enjoyed designing, painting, decorating, and styling. Her greatest love was her family. Lela was an outstanding mother and grandmother, who instilled faith and a strong work ethic in her children. She poured her heart into her loved ones. Her legacy is the love that she shared with everyone around her.

Lela Amor is our tribute to Lela Lyons and the indelible mark that she left on her family and friends. Our brand values of pride, unity, and celebration were Lela Lyons' way of life. She celebrated the beauty in everyone. So, in her honor, we celebrate the beauty in you.
